Using the Thesaurus

Step-By-Step Directions

1. Select the word for which you want a synonym. To do this with your mouse: place the cursor to one side of the word, left-click and drag the cursor over the word.

2. Do one of the following:

• From the Edit menu, select Thesaurus.

• Click on the Thesaurus button on the Edit menu:

• Press <SHIFT> + F7.

3. Select the synonym with which you want to replace your selected word.

4. Click Replace.

INTERESTING FACT

Cleave is the only word that contains two synonyms that are antonyms.
